PENSIM input table AIOFFER

Contains time-varying parameters about required offering of automatic-IRA plans by employers.

PENSIM:   AIOFFER . id
Identifies time-varying parameters, so more than one row can have the same id value.

Valid values: 1 to 999999999, Integer

PENSIM:   AIOFFER . notes
Describes specification of table row in free-form note.

Valid values: any ASCII text, Memo (Note: do not copy and paste from a word processor because of the possibility of embedded non-ASCII characters.)

PENSIM:   AIOFFER . cal_year
Identifies calendar year for which parameters on this row apply.

Valid values: 1940 to 3068, Integer

PENSIM:   AIOFFER . gov_sector
Specifies whether or not automatic-IRA plan offering requirement is applied to government-sector employers.

Valid values: T (=1) or F (=0) (for true or false), Logical

PENSIM:   AIOFFER . firm_based
Specifies whether or not automatic-IRA plan offering requirement is based on firm offering status or on employee offering status. If true, then automatic-IRA must be offered if employer does not sponsor a pension plan. If false, then automatic-IRA must be offered if employee is not offered a pension plan.

Valid values: T (=1) or F (=0) (for true or false), Logical

PENSIM:   AIOFFER . small_frac
Specifies decimal fraction of employees working for employers in the small (under 25 employees) firm size category that are required to offer automatic-IRA plans. A value of 1.0 implies all small employers must offer because there is no very-small firm-size exemption to the offering requirement.
