PENSIM: XSE . id
Identifies combination of characteristics of the fifth cross-section survey specified on this row of table, so id value should be unique.
Valid values: 1 to 999999999 (nine digits), Integer
PENSIM: XSE . notes
Describes specification of table row in free-form note.
Valid values: any ASCII text, Memo (Note: do not copy and paste from a word processor because of the possibility of embedded non-ASCII characters.)
PENSIM: XSE . xs_age
Specifies the age at which an individual, who is a living resident, is selected to be interviewed for the cross-section survey. Note that the value of xs_age is ignored when olc_mode is true. Note that the fractional part of xs_age must be 0.001 when specifying a prior-year retrospective supplement.
Valid values: 0.001 to 99.999, Real [whole year ages are illegal]
PENSIM: XSE . supplement
Specifies the set of questions that supplements the core questions in the cross-section survey. Note: a value of zero implies no supplementary questions are included in the cross-section survey. See documentation of the .xse output results file (in out_xse.h) for the information included in supplementary questions.
Valid values: 0 to 8, Integer [except no supplement 2]
PENSIM: XSE . olc_mode
Specifies whether or not the cross-section survey is administered when PENSIM is called by GEMINI when SSASIM is operating in the Overlapping Cohorts (OLC) mode. If XSE.olc_mode is true when PENSIM is called by GEMINI, it generates an xseNNNNN.YYY file (where NNNNN is the PENSIM:RUN.id and YYY is the last three digits of the cohort birth year) containing the results of the cross-section survey. When XSE.olc_mode is true, the interviews are scheduled at an age determined by the values of XSE.olc_year and XSE.olc_moment.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Be sure to combine the many xseNNNNN.YYY files into a single xseNNNNN.all file using the xsall utility from the Windows command-line prompt in the PENSIM database directory.

PENSIM: XSE . olc_year
Specifies the calendar year during which the cross-section survey is conducted when PENSIM is called by GEMINI and XSE.olc_mode is true.
Valid values: 1995 to 2099, Integer
PENSIM: XSE . olc_moment
Specifies the moment during the olc_year when the cross-section survey is conducted when PENSIM is called by GEMINI and XSE.olc_mode is true. Note that the olc_moment must be 0.001 when specifying a prior-year retrospective supplement.
